First, lets go to some famous place to eat famous food in Ipoh
Kong Heng, the place that my Grandpa used to bring me there to have food, the old style of cafe just brings you back to your younger days, even foods taste better here...
Sliced Chicken "Hor Fun"/"Gai Si Hor Fun" in Cantonese,RM 3.30/bowl,cheap huh?Thats the cost of living in Ipoh
*Guys,"Hor Fun" in Cantonese means Kuey Tiao
This place is the most famous place to have this food, you can find it at the stall on the right.
All I talked about is only food, what about what to drink in Ipoh?
No other choice, that's gonna be Ipoh White Coffee, significant drinks.RM 1.20/cup
Oh my,mouth watering right?Popiah is coming over now, look at these Popiahs now,one is sweet and another one is just mild hot, what's the price?RM3/plate is gonna be the answer.
Hmm,this will be Cuttlefish with Kangkung,RM 5/plate,considered as one of the significant delicacy in Ipoh or to say it is a must try food if you come to Ipoh.
Ok,i bet you will never find this kind of beansprouts at other place like Ipoh, just RM 6/plate.
What so special with beansprouts at Ipoh?Believe me,to see is to believe the beansprouts here are just short and fat furthermore,I can say that it is juicy.
Haha,so girls out there, don't ever be happy when people praise that you are just like Ipoh beansprout. Its just some kind of sarcasm, irony or just to mock you.
OK,after so call lunch,we head to somewhere called "Rock N Roll" to have this kind of curry fish head, certainly they got more things compare to JB Curry Fish Head, price?RM 28/clay pot.
Curry Mee,looks tasty doesn't it?Try to find RM 3/bowl curry mee at JB,It took me ages to look for it,but for nice curry mee in JB,smallest portion gonna be RM5/bowl.
Just some cakes and fried Wan Tan,you gonna love this, not like this, but love this.....
Xiang Bing anyone?or according to Su Peng's vocabulary, its called "Ma Ti Su" something associated with water chestnut.Every tourist come here sure will buy this back home, when you think of xiang bing, you will think of Ipoh, special and local delicacy.
Traditional Char Kuey Tiao, know what?char kuey tiao is only RM 2 something for the normal one over here. Its not only the food I ate since I was young, further more before that, they use charcoal to fried kuey tiao, pretty traditional huh?
This is just partial of nice and tasty food in Ipoh,I have not got a chance to take picture of all those nice foods, but I promise ya,once I got it,i will sure post up to my blog..
